Learning Update for the Week of September 2

This past week we are been working on the question What is Belonging?  We discussed the importance of community and what makes us feel like we belong and how we can show belonging. Some of the highlights of our week included making wire hearts with ten beads that represented where we feel belong.  We also created a list of juicy words to describe ourselves. 

We have been busy reviewing and practicing our letters and letter sounds.  Please ask your child to show you the letter sounds they know and the special actions that help them remember.  

In math, we have been showing numbers (up to 20)in different ways including ten frames, tallies, fingers, pictures and dice.  We even learned a new word subitize.  Please ask your child to describe what it means to subitize.
