Our Community - Week of November 25

Wow that was a cold week, we are looking forward to warmer temperatures this week! Please make sure to dress your child for outdoor recess in the snow.

This week in Social Studies we have been busy designing and building our community.  As a class we made a list of buildings we wanted to make and students worked together to design and build the buildings.

Why is community important?

What community do they live in?

The week ahead:

We will be learning about community helpers (social studies),

We will continue to explore 3D shapes,

We will be practicing our reading and writing through centres and journal writing.

In a addition to our regular schedule we will have Quest Theatre in for a residency for the next two weeks, classes will be learning with them twice a day.  The final product of our time will be our Winter Concert on Thursday, December 12.  We will have an afternoon performance at 1:30 and an evening performance at 6:30.
