Week of December 2

We have been busy preparing for our Winter Celebration.  This week we began our theatre residency with Quest.  Students have been learning how to project their voices and move on the stage.  Each class will be acting out a storybook and students have been busy practicing their lines.  Ask your child about their part and the story they will be presenting.

In math, we have been continuing our study of 3D shapes.  Students are learning to name and describe the shapes and identify them in the environment.

In social studies we have continued our study of community and this week we focussed on community helpers.  This continued into language arts where we read and wrote about community helpers and what we want to be when we grow up.

An important reminder to all families!  The Winter Celebration in on Thursday evening.  If you wish to attend a ticket is required.  The forms for tickets are due back on Monday, December 9.
